A modern romantic with a twist of theatrics, Grace Piper Fields, is a singer, songwriter, and playwright who connects people through poetic storytelling. Currently, she is a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, majoring in Songwriting and minoring in Theatre. As a creative entrepreneur, Grace is the Founder and Creative Director of Moon Piper Productions, LLC, whose mission is to transform imaginative concepts into reality through the power of original music. Moon Piper Productions is dedicated to pushing creative boundaries and delivering innovative, heartfelt experiences that captivate and inspire. Grace spent over three years writing the book, lyrics, and music for an original musical, Lorene’s Reverie, based on her great-grandmother’s diaries. This show premiered on the Music Theater Heritage Main Stage at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri, in July of 2024, produced by Moon Piper Productions. Not only did Grace direct and star in the show, but she also produced the backing tracks and led the marketing and social media campaigns. Originally from Leawood, Kansas, her close-knit family instilled in her a love of exploring the world and embracing creativity. She is the host of Moon Piper Podcast, which focuses on the journey of songwriters and musicians navigating the entertainment industry. Her original music challenges the boundaries of pop and is available on streaming platforms. Additionally, Grace is President of Intonations, an award-winning, all-female a cappella group from Nashville. After three years of writing the script, music, and lyrics, the condensed version opened in April 2023 at Shawnee Mission East High School. The full version of the show premiered on the Music Theater Heritage Main Stage at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri, July 2024, produced by Moon Piper Productions. This heartwarming tale of love and loss provides a rare insight into the personal life of a woman navigating twentieth-century America. Moon Piper Productions partnered with the Kansas City Aerial Arts Training Company to create a magical atmosphere. Generating over five hundred and fifty ticket sales in one weekend, Lorene's Reverie mesmerized audiences. The original cast recording is in progress and Moon Piper Productions continues to explore next steps for Lorene's Reverie.
Musical Director
Stage Right Performing Arts hired me to direct their production of The Little Mermaid Jr. with 95 cast members. This musical was honored with the Broadway World Award for Best Theatre For Young Audiences Production (Non-Professional) in Kansas City.
