I have been associated with the Santa Barbara Writers Conference since 1992, currently serving as director. I've had a varied career including short order cook, accounting, house painting, tailoring, landscaping, warehouse management, book editing, and teaching. In my alternate time I write, make art, do woodworking and carpentry, embrace gardening, and I am a long time Toastmaster. I do not bore easily. I believe storytelling is important to every area of life and communication skills are vital. I've always lived with dogs, and sometimes cats, and often a husband.
