I coordinate the high school business and management program for North Clackamas School District, providing students dual college credit classes and hands-on learning running a real business. Our program hosts more than 300 students for classes in business, accounting, marketing, and management, and has an active DECA chapter, which travels for state and international competition multiple times per year.

In this role, I managed all administrative functions for the high school program for pregnant and parenting teens in the Clackamas School District. My role included fundraising, grant writing, project management, volunteer recruitment and management, partnership development, and of course, teaching!

As a teacher at Ackerman, I earned significant money in grants for my school, worked with artists-in-residence, conducted student travel, and worked with a small team of teachers to develop specialized curriculum for at-risk youth with an application and CTE focus.

In this role, I coordinated volunteers and developed community-based education programs. I created a new volunteer program that focused on enhancing critical thinking skills for students in 7th through 12th grades, which served over 1700 students in the first year. Programs ranged from guest speakers in classrooms to immersive experiences, like career fairs, planting flower beds, and an art and design program with the City of Canby.

Cannon Beach, Oregon

I helped bring history to life for visitors to the North Oregon Coast in my management of this small non-profit. From developing exhibits, to planning, marketing and executing special events and programs like the annual Cannon Beach Cottage Tour, I earned significant grant and private funds, helping the museum operate on a day-to-day basis, and provide special programs to the public.Partnership management, budgeting and accounting, website editing, graphic design, ad management, copy and layout, visitor services, community outreach, and volunteer coordination were just some of my many duties.

I created and enacted a comprehensive communications plan, establishing and maintaining partnerships, conducting media outreach, planning and executing special events, and providing public tours of Timberline Lodge. I also created and delivered education programs, and my successful grant writing helped provide funds for the creation of the Passport to the Forest, a mobile conservation education classroom that has since served thousands of children in our area.

I created press kits for mobile technology clients, represented clients at special events and trade shows, designed event displays, did the in-house graphic design, and developed marketing campaigns. I garnered international and national media coverage for my clients, helped to manage company blog and Museum of Mobility History, and worked on a small team to serve mobile technology-focused companies.

I fully marketed the university theatre program, creating brochures and press releases, conducting media outreach, and acting as a liaison for community groups. My efforts nearly doubled attendance in theatre events, and I implemented several new programs, such as self-catered receptions for audiences of over 200, lobby displays, and guerrilla marketing on-campus.
