The Public Health Society(PHS) is a student organization on the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The overall mission of PHS is to raise awareness about healthcare, healthcare facilities, public health, and public policy in our local communities as well as global concerns that are affecting the world today. This organization introduces and educates undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the Dearborn community, to the field of public health and on how to address public health issues. Additionally, PHS hopes to collectively engage different viewpoints and procure ways to address common problems.The Public Health society is a sub-awardee of the non-profit ACCESS and partner with Henry Ford Health System in promoting the NIH All of Us Research Program. The All of Us Research Program is responsible for community outreach and engagement with underrepresented populations. This research works to understand how to best serve underrepresented populations in health care and acknowledges that healthcare requires an individualized approach, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.As president, I lead a team of 7 individuals to host events for the campus community surrounding public health initiatives and led a general body of over 50 members. I also worked in a multidisciplinary team with HFHS and ACCESS in promoting the All of Us Research to the student body through webinars and informational tabling events which increased student interest by over 90 students. Lastly, I marketed and managed over 11 events and over 6 philanthropic and volunteer opportunities for students and the Dearborn community in the 2022 school year.

Specialized in mental health and wellness by co-leading support groups for undergrad students. Hosted wellness webinars and campus events for over 600+ students and faculty to encourage wellness resources on campus.

Led a new program on the University of Michigan- Dearborn campus dedicated to providing programs and initiatives to students free of cost in hopes of incorporating a healthier lifestyle into their everyday routine. I had the pleasure of shaping this new committee in the direction I see fit and implementing new ideas to engage the student population.

A virtual space for students to find a community. As a program leader, I had the opportunity to help create a virtual community amongst college students from Chicago, Detroit, and NY. Duties included marketing, helping lead support groups, creating the program, and developing surveys to measure participants' involvement. Program led by Dr. Karen Lojeski.

Worked closely with and assisted faculty and students on campus. I audited faculty work, administered exams, created syllabi and annual reports, and assisted with administrative responsibilities. Accomplished office responsibilities while keeping office staff and professors organized and on task.

Member of the “Detroit Community-Engaged Research Program” (DCERP), a highly selective program for University of Michigan- Ann Arbor Students. DCERP only allows 20 participants, university-wide, to advoate for social justice in Detroit. As a part of this program, I was partnered with the non-profit-Chandler Park Conservancy (CPC). CPC is committed to providing educational, recreational, and conservation opportunities free to the community. Through my work, I transformed the organization's daily operations by assisting in administrative responsibilities, finding and completing grant proposals, and creating newspaper statements to encourage membership. During this time I helped create a 4 week long online youth environmental camp and assisted with planning the summer sports program.
