I love finding solutions to challenges or reforming broken processes. With a lifelong passion for being active, I learned early on that reaching ambitious goals requires supportive teamwork and accountability. I embrace new adventures that push me out of my comfort zone. I love to hike and enjoy the beautiful view when I make it to the top while making new friends along the way.As a University of Washington student, I lead by example through my discipline and work ethic. Being a student at a competitive school and carrying a heavy class load, I have found that people like to work with me because I am relatable and pull my weight when a task needs to be completed. When placed in groups, I naturally gravitate to leadership roles because I motivate others by listening, recognizing their strengths and how to utilize them, and providing encouragement. As a freshman, I joined Alpha Phi sorority and immediately secured the highest board role a first-year student could have: Executive Assistant to the President. Now, as a junior, I am finishing up my year long term as President of my sorority. I became President because I saw many areas and neglected processes within the sorority that I felt I could improve. I overcame initial struggles with delegation by having transparent conversations about expectations. Rather than tackling tasks alone, I assign projects based on members' talents and check in regularly to celebrate wins. I am constantly working on being a straightforward and efficient communicator. Reflecting as I near the end of my term, I have seen that my chapter is now more unified than ever in achieving shared objectives around philanthropy, academics, and self-improvement.I enjoy learning from others and hear what they are passionate about. I look forward to building my LinkedIn network with diverse and passionate individuals who want to collaborate and learn from each other. Please feel free to send me a LinkedIn invitation.
