I have always been a writer, but once I got married, I really began to write in earnest. I began writing children’s books that have been compared to Dr. Seuss (which I love). And as my husband and I started traveling around the world, living on different continents, I started writing a travelogue of sorts which a publisher has expressed interest in turning into a book as well. Those websites are GracefulParis.com and AGracefulWorld.com.I have lived in Paris, France; Mumbai, Maharashtra in India and London, England. Finally, after a whirlwind of living abroad, I have returned to the States and now reside just outside of Seattle, Washington in Kirkland - a beautiful little resort town which I love. I joined Impact Communications in 2019, where in addition to being a Client Relations Specialist, I also function as the Media Relations Manager, building media lists, dealing with press requests, writing news releases and interfacing with journalists to provide right-fit sources for articles they’re writing in order to help put our clients in the spotlight.As far as school, I’ve earned a B.F.A. in Journalism from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, as well as a M.A at New York University and M.F.A from University of Houston.  In another life, I co-founded and managed a voice-over business, dealing with clients such as NBC, CNN, MTV, UPN (before it became The CW), and Fox Television. I juggled deal negotiations, client procurement, and copy writing, as well as marketing development and implementation. I’ve spent a bit of time in front of the camera as well, interviewing CEOs and Senior Executives of Fortune 500 companies for Flight Talk Network, producing interviews for major airlines, as well as a brief career in the motion picture industry.My husband, Leon, and I still LOVE traveling extensively in Europe and Asia. Whatever country we call home, our guest room is often occupied by friends and family from my home state of Texas and my husband’s native Holland, as well as other folks we’ve collected through our years of living in Paris, France; Mumbai, India and London, England. As my mother would say, I have lived a very big life and loved every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing what’s next!
