About the PositionThe role will involve social responses across all of the big platforms. We are launching several projects and executing on sponsorships with the Braves, NASCAR, Ryder Cup, Chipper Jones, Cole Swindell, and the PGA championship this summer, so there will be a lot going on. The intern will also be involved in executing partnership marketing at events related to those sponsorships. The position pays $10/hour, and there is definitely potential for promotion to a full-time position in the communications department when the student finishes school. We are doing far more than we are staffed for at the moment, so this intern will be given all of the responsibility he or she can handle.Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in West Knoxville or Kodak

Role DescriptionThe Social Media Intern supports the CEO directly to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns• Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites• Create and distribute content such as infographics, videos, and press releases on social media• Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability• Support Events Team by asking for photos, videos, ideas, etc from their events for social media• Works with CEO to get all social media platforms running with correct target market with active followers and engagement.Perform all other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Great oral and written communication skills• Experience with major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok• Knowledge of social media analytics software, such as Facebook Insights to track audience engagement and campaign performance• Experience with content management systems, word processor applications, and image/video editing software• Interested in social media trends• Copywriting and editing skills• Ability to work under deadlinesExperience• Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in digital communications or related field such as advertising, journalism, or graphic design
