I am Gracie, a 1L at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. Before South Carolina, I attended Furman University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies and Communication Studies, with a concentration in rhetoric and advocacy. After graduation, I worked for a year with YMCA Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer as a development fellow. In this people-focused role, I engaged with young alumni from both camps to educate and encourage philanthropic giving and led efforts to archive Camp's history digitally. I am a people person, enthusiastic about helping and understanding others. I constantly try to better the environment around me. I can execute any task given to me in a well-organized manner. I believe being accountable and transparent in communication creates the best workplace atmosphere. I hope to pursue a legal career to serve my community, I am currently most interested in education law and plaintiffs' law work.
