Hello! I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Human Development in 2021. Since then, I have interned at a nonprofit focused on closing the opportunity gaps from first generation, low-income students and worked as a teacher assistant in a special class inclusion setting preschool, focusing on behavior management and inclusivity of UPK and SCIS students. I also worked as a Preschool Teacher at the Gavras Center, with a focus on behavior management, trauma-informed care, and school preparation with a classroom of 3PK and UPK students. Currently, I work as the Childcare Director at the Gavras Center.Understanding how people develop and behave has allowed me to adapt to different situations. I can also identify problems efficiently and understand differing perspectives. I have never-ending curiosity and have always loved to learn. Because of this, I am a quick learner. Moreover, I am a creative person who implements that creativity into problem-solving.From a young age, I have always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I am interested in developmental psychology, mental health, and social justice. I believe that mental health plays an important role in psychological development and behavior. With the rise of the mental health crisis amongst children and teenagers, I feel that becoming a clinical social worker is more essential than ever. I am starting my MSW journey in Fall of 2025 through Binghamton University with the hope to become a LCSW who works with youth in a therapeutic setting.
