My name is Gracie Eastman. I have had three jobs all in retail. My first job was in November of 2021 I was a sales associate at Cato Fashion in Enterprise AL, unfortunately due to covid I was unable to stay there for as long as I would have liked but I was able to learn a lot despite how long I was there. It taught me how to run the register, keep the sales floor presentable, count inventory, assist customers, and order merchandise to the store. It also taught me many skills; time management, customer service, organization, communication, leadership, problem solving, project management, teamwork, adaptability, and conflict resolution. All of these skills have been very beneficial when transferring them into my home life and my new jobs. I started Working at Lowes in March of 2022. I am still currently working there as well as being a full time student in college. Transferring my new skills I adapted from Cato has been very helpful at Lowes. The environment is very different but I enjoy working with all of my coworkers and with our customers. The tasks and projects I'm given at Lowes can be hard at times but I always make sure to complete my tasks with the best of my abilities. I had to get a second job as well as working at Lowes due to all of the finances responsibilities I was unable to fulfill with just one job. I started working at Dirt Cheap as a cashier in September of 2022 disappointingly our dirt cheap location was closed in May. I enjoyed working at dirt cheap when it was open and was able to successfully balance two jobs and school. Im attending college to get a bachelors in nursing. Despite all of the challenges life throws my way I'm determined to reach my goals.
