This internship has been very fun because I get to create fun wallpapers and promotional content on Photoshop for sporting events throughout the year. I also get to post on the UNI Athletics Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram stories on game days showing game highlights and scores. I help out with the sound board for games as well as other game day preparations.

Working for Fastenal has broadened my knowledge in the construction and industrial supplies industry. Adapting to different customers and helping them get the products they need, no one day is the same. I pull orders for customers, update inventory, quote and order products, and talk to customers inside the store and on the phone. In this fast paced environment I am always busy while working.

My job at Escapology was a very fun job to say the least. I got to work with other small businesses in the area for a community scavenger hunt to increase engagement and business, draw up marketing campaigns, post daily on all social accounts, hold promotions and giveaways, interact with our customers, and brainstorm new ideas to help the business increase sales and continue to grow.

Waitressing was a very fast paced environment that I got used to quickly. At Happy Joe's I placed orders over the phone, greeted customers, took and placed orders, checked up on assigned tables, communicated with other employees with orders, cleaned dishes, and did nightly cleaning. I learned how to communicate efficiently and work in a fast environment.
