Developed and manufactured a fully custom differential and supporting components for a front wheel drive system that minimizes weight and impact on vehicle dynamics without sacrificing serviceability or reliability.Collaborated with other subsystem leads, particularly steering, propeller shaft and front half shafts to ensure ideal integration between subsystems. Validated all designs by correlating results from Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to physical testing of the system.

Focused especially on reducing caliper piston retraction time, serviceability and ease of bleeding. Collaborated with other subsystem leads, particularly steering, ergonomics, and rear gearbox to ensure our braking system synthesizes with their components.Utilized Siemens NX CAD software and FEA to design our system and conducted physical testing to validate our design.

Develop a high-pressure fuel pump for production by creating a solid model, 2D drawing, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and determining material properties.Utilize precision measurement techniques to create accurate models of benchmark components.Calculate interactions and interfaces between fuel pump components to ensure the final design is effective, robust, and manufacturable. Reference benchmark components, design standards, and catalog parts to create models and prints for internal fuel pump components. Develop an understanding of the function and importance of each component within a fuel pump to understand the total system function of a diesel engine common rail injection pump.

Redesigned an end-of-line test device using SolidWorks to accommodate a product update while remaining backwards compatible. Utilized a DAQ to test surface finishes of a thermal interface material by measuring temperature data from thermocouples to calculate and compare thermal resistance.Designed air duct prototypes in SolidWorks and measured the temperature change across a heat sink with constant heat load and blower fan to determine the efficiency.Collaborated on an interactive display case that incorporated functional product examples while conforming to strict customer specifications and utilizing readily available materials.Created a simple and repeatable solder joint durability tester, recorded data from a series of tests and produced a written procedure for repeatable testing.
