Cameronbridge Distillery is the largest grain distillery in Scotland, generating >65million litres of alochol per year. In 2007, a project to expand the capacity of the distillery was announced, with the aim of achieving >100million litres of alcohol per year in production. The project was split into 4 parts - storage, fermentation, pre-distillation and by-products. Lagavulin Distillery on the Isle of Islay is world famous malt whisky brand and one of the 'classic' malts. I took teh opportunity to manage the day to day operation of the site over a 10 month period in 2007.Responsible for the safe, efficient and economical day-to-day production of high quality malt whiskyAccountability for ensuring that site reaches/exceeds agreed KPI targetsImplementing compliance reporting structure to site and ensuring site compliance with all statutory requirements and business standards, including HMRCCoaches and provides feedback to operator population on a regular basisInvolvement in the Islay management team, influencing local implementation in order to meet wider business strategy

The central procurement function within Diageo looks after all strategic purchases from 3rd part spirit, glass and grain to facilities contracts and stationary.
