My personal philosophy on life is to approach everything in it with positivity, openness and as an opportunity to learn. This is an approach that has helped me build a unique skill set from a diverse career path that has included bomb disposal engineering for the British Army, operations management, and global learning & leadership development.Currently based in Dubai, I have successfully lead the design, development and implementation of global HSE training courses and learning and development programs across DP World globally.Motivated by hard work and with a strong passion for learning, training and leadership development, this is a strong area of interest for me. I am proud to be responsible for the effective delivery of a wide and diverse range of courses, to a learner satisfaction rate of 98%. This is no mean feat, when our combined total of training days per year exceeds 41,000, across 13,000 learners.I’m often told that I’m a very upbeat, friendly and positive person, which is a bonus, given that my role involves frequent communication at all business levels. Having previously been responsible for a large global team, I take the mechanics of good leadership seriously, and I feel privileged to act as a career mentor on a formal and informal level. A lifelong learner myself, I am always on the lookout for new opportunities to improve my own expertise. This includes successfully completing a suite of professional courses and qualifications, including studying with the University of Pennsylvania.
