St Fergus Gas Terminal

Employed initially as a Trainee Process Operator, I have now completed my NVQ Level 3 in Hydrocarbon Process Operations having already completed my NVQ Level 1 Process Operator Workbook and First Line Maintenance book. I am actively involved in all aspects of the Gas Treatment Process on-site and have carried out Production Operator duties including shift plant checks, making up and performing isolations and de-isolations, performing routine sampling tasks, carrying out routine PM’s and participating in all safety aspects/systems as per TOTAL/Aker standards. I am also involved with plant shutdown campaigns and liaise with 3rd party contractors as and when required during these busy periods.

Aberdeen - Offshore

Involved in the running of MS and SG series wellhead equipment, subsea guidebases, casing hangers, running tools and all associated equipment. Ran ALT/ST and RL conductor strings.Made up drawings prior to jobs and liaised with client representatives/rig personnel at all times.Worked within the rental department prior to it moving to Montrose. Involved in all aspects of stripping and rebuilding rental tools. Assisted Subsea Drilling supervisor in Office duties as and when required.

Aberdeen - Offshore

Offshore work included maintenance and servicing of all solids control equipment such as VSD gearboxes, Auger systems, Centrifuges and Vacuum units. Assisted in the hook up and testing of new installations and also rigging down equipment. Attended daily operations meetings and weekly safety meetings. Completed daily reports and regularly updated maintenance computer records prior to sending back to Aberdeen. Liaised with company representative at all times and was responsible for all ordering of spares and manifesting backloads. Carried out MHA and TRA assessments as and when required and participated with company safety procedures at all times

Fraserburgh

Based in the workshop, duties included general stainless steel & mild steel fabrication, welding, lathe & milling work and sheet metal working. Held various different welding qualifications including 6G coding's in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.Covered for Foreman in his absence, allocating and supervising work and general running of workshop. I am competent in the use of all hand tools, power tools and fabrication & welding. I have experience in the manufacturing of components for the oil industry, sub sea frames and on other equipment such as conveyor & food handling systems for the food industry.
