I am a Technical Principal (Director) and Professional Head of Traction Power and EMC working for Mott MacDonald mainly on Heavy Rail and Light Rail infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas. Whilst my core discipline is traction power systems I have routinely fulfilled senior engineering roles on multi-disciplinary projects.I was recently elected as a supplier representative for the RSSB ENE Standards committee.I am proud to be part of a highly skilled electrification team comprising OLE, Traction Power and EMC specialist working out of our Altrincham and Croydon offices. I am based in the Altrincham office and was responsible for growing the team from one individual to the current team strength of eighteen.I consider myself an expert in my core discipline across AC and DC traction power systems and I am always available to support the engineering assurance process on major or minor projects.My aims for my professional life at this stage of career are fairly straightforward. I want help provide the UK with the transport infrastructure it needs for the future and I want to inspire the next generation of engineers to achieve great things. I would also like to make a few clients happy along the way.In my personal life, my partner and I have adopted and raised two special needs children. I am inspired to achieve things by seeing what they achieve every day.
