In February 2018 I pursued a joint business venture, developing a landscaping partnership specialising in a variety of different disciplines. Later the same year we diversified, branching out in to property development, both these companies came the umbrella of the JohnstonVartyGroup.I have 4 years experience in forest management have been a logger for 5 years and tree feller for 2years. Currently training for ropes access , rope access with a chainsaw and large tree felling. I also hold a IPAF license which will gain me the certificate of operating a chainsaw from a mobile elevated working platform(MEWP).Also currently looking after 2 estates combining of 3200 acres. Maintaining all parkland and forests. I am also very competent tractor driver. Day to day jobs consist of tree pruning/felling, stone masonry, drainage, trench digging for foul/water main/electric and gas. I can also drive diggers and excavators up to 22 ton. I also do mass production of firewood for Wynyard Hall. I then set up my own firewood business from home supplying around 250 domestic customers. I have started making my own wood lintels out of seasoned timber. I am a qualified pool and spa technician involving maintenance and chemical control.I took the lead in 2 projects at Wynyard Hall renovating 2 derelict cottages into 2 three bedroom holiday lets which have been very successful. I then converted a lakeside boat house into a spa which again has been very successful.Using the skills from which I have gained I have purchased a few properties in the north east, renovated them and now let out. I also do vermin control for Wynyard Hall, Newcastle International Airport and local farmers.
