Responsibilities: Supervise and co-ordinate personnel and work area operations to ensure all health & safety risks are controlled through applying risk management principles and implementation of work procedures to minimise impacts to personnel, equipment and environment. Provide advice to upper management on HSEC issues and programs, including hazard management plan, safety improvement plans and work schedules.Monitor and evaluate operations and provide advice on HSEC issues to department management levels. Monitor operations for compliance with SOPs, operating design limits and capabilities and application of safe behaviour. Address non-compliance and recognise outstanding contributions. Report, investigate and provide follow up actions for site incidents and occurrences.Ensure relevant information on HSEC issues and performance is communicated to all employees on a regular basis through forums, toolbox meetings and notice boards. Ensure personnel have received training in all related HSEC issues, Standard Operating Procedures including job skills as required by job positions.

Monitor personnel and work area operations to ensure all health & safety risks are controlled through applying risk management principles and application of work procedures to minimise impacts to personnel, equipment and environment.Monitor and evaluate operations and provide advice on HSEC issues to HSE Supervisors and staff. Monitor maintenance, inspection, testing and calibration of plant and equipment. Ensure accidents and incidents are reported & recorded. Communicate significant risks and control measures to employees, contractors and others who may be affected, and actively promote commitment to and value of HSEC initiatives and improvement plans.

Conduct detailed training needs and cost benefit analysis and develop subsequent specialised training programs and packages. Manage the employment specifications and requirements of specialised employee groups within defence. Review the delivery, conduct and outcomes of specialised training to ensure applicability and requisite outcomes. Develop and conduct training in specialist areas.

Manage all OH&S/WHS activities within the company by:• Being responsible for development and implementation of all safety policies and procedures;• Ensuring compliance with all OH&S/WHS legislation;• Overseeing safety training and development within the company;• Designing, reviewing and implementing Mainstream Industries Inductions and Training for all employees;• Conducting site audits (Fitness for Work, Environmental Auditing, Noise Monitoring and General Site Safety Audits);• Design, review and up date on site Risk Assessments (Supervisors and Service Technicians to conduct the Assessments on site);• Design, review and update Safe Work Procedures;• Input and advice in the Tendering process for upcoming tenders• Running the monthly Toolbox Talks• Site Meetings / KPI & Incident Response• Complete the IMS – to be certified by SAI Global• Weekly field co-ordinating to designated site
