I changed my role to Senior Openstack Engineer and using the skills I had learnt. I took lead in deploying an internal openstack cloud for the company to deploy management services while at the same time the company looked to invest in a managed service openstack cloud. I designed a DHCP service for Hp ILO (IPMI) to supply an IP address then update netbox(asset management) with its details. This also installed a company TLS certificate to comply with security standards, setting snmp for monitoring support all before its first boot. This allowed for rapid deployment of servers when deploying 400 servers at a time. I designed an environment using rundeck to allow for low skilled support staff to run scripts to manage and support the openstack clouds without the need to have users logging into the server reducing the user entraction improves security standards.

This includes ensuring that their tracking services are online continuously, as well as their call centres.
