I decided to 'retire' from the city at 51 and set up a charity where there is a gap in the market. The new charity is called www.poachedrhino.org, designed to help stop the needless slaughter of ' The Rhino' and in particular the rhinos whose habitat is South Africa. We aim to raise awareness, education and funds, before this iconic animal ends up like the dodo in15-20 years! Can you imagine a world without any BIG 5 safaris - try explaining that to your children and grandchildren.The South African rhino are being poached at a level of 3 a day which is critical mass! In 2013 alone, we lost more than a thousand, so it will only be a matter of time before they are gone,unless we all help today, even if only a small monthly donation. Rest assured, via our charity, 100% of your money will be invested for the cause. We do not take any money from the charity and we live in SA to make sure the money is spent on the right projects and ends up where it will be of most benefit I am also setting up a travel company to organise tours with discounts being shared with members of poachedrhino.org and the charity, so a win/win situation.
