Demonstrate oral and written Occupational Health, Safety and Rehabilitation advice to an employee base of approximately 350 staff in local and regional areas in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.Provide effective written and oral advice to state and national employees on a raft of Human Resource matters.Advise, direct and liaise with external government and private sector agencies over the provision of rehabilitation services for employees.Contribute to health, safety and rehabilitation strategic plans and policies.Implement and maintain a Risk Register for the Business Area.

Provide strategic Occupational Safety and Health advice and input towards departmental policies, plans and projects.Provide consultative, inspectorate and audit services for departmental OSH management systems.Provide an injury management service to approximately 2,500 employees in accordance with state legislation.Advise, direct and liaise with external government and private sector agencies over the provision of rehabilitation services for employees.Provide ergonomic workstation services to employees.Contribute to Occupational Safety and Health Risk Management processes.

AccomplishmentsUtilise effective leadership and communication skills to supervise a shift of eleven officers in the deployment of 24 hour security at diplomatic missions.Utilise experience to provide tactful presence and security skills at diplomatic missions in the aftermath of world terrorist attacks.Ongoing requalification of firearms, batons and defensive tactics.Utilise effective written and verbal communication skills in providing administrative work for 85 operational employees in the Aviation and Protection portfolios.Undertake complex research projects to assist with operational outcomes for the Aviation portfolio.Implement Gradual Return to Work duties and provided assistance to officers in their rehabilitation.Undertake audits of physical security practices and services and compiled reports to AFP clients.Daily operation of SAP Payroll system for employee pay, finance, uniform, travel, assets, stores and mail records.

Provide information technology desktop help support to the Academy staff and students.
