As PD, I had the incredible opportunity to plan, shoot, and deliver an international episode set in Iceland. In this role, I developed the creative concepts for the episode, which included thrilling activities such as ice climbing, quad biking, volcano trekking, and baking bread in the geo thermals.I oversaw all aspects of the production process, from sourcing contributors and locations, arranging permits to coordinating logistics and managing a small team of self shooting production members. Using my extensive experience in self-shooting, I was able to capture all the action and breathtaking scenery, ensuring that the final product was visually stunning and engaging.As a result of my hard work and dedication, the episode became the second highest-rated Blue Peter episode of 2022, demonstrating its popularity among young audiences. As a shooting Assistant Producer for the art TV competition format, Britain's Best Young Artist, I had the privilege of working on a program that aimed to showcase the talents of some of the UK's most promising young artists. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing contestant welfare and challenge setting, sourcing experts and contributors, and developing fun and creative ideas for VTs in the show to test the artists' abilities.Working closely with the rest of the production team, I was instrumental in ensuring that the show ran smoothly and that the contestants were able to showcase their skills to the best of their abilities. I was involved in all aspects of the production process, from sourcing artwork and clearing copyright to filming in the studio and on location.One of the highlights of my time on the show was directing a VT in the semi-final, which involved leading the crew and managing the creative challenge set for the young artists. It was incredibly rewarding to see the contestants rise to the occasion and produce such inspiring work.I was also able to secure the prestigious prize of the winner getting their artwork to go on public display at Tate Modern. As a director for BBC Teach's Live Lessons, I had the exciting opportunity to create high-quality VT content and produce engaging live OB inserts that were transmitted to school classrooms across the country. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, from development and planning to on-set direction and post-production.Using my extensive experience in producing and directing for educational programming, I was able to develop creative and engaging content that was specifically designed to help students learn and explore the set topics.
