A farmer for more than 40 years in the Nelson and North Canterbury area, farming a mixture of sheep, beef, deer and dairy. Currently, in partnership with others, farms 3 dairy units milking 4500 cows. Graeme has been involved in a number of agri-business organizations as a Director, including the Fertilizer, Meat, Wool, Dairy & Irrigation and spent 15 years in the Electricity industry at a governance level. Graeme has also played an active role in Federated Farmers and the New Zealand Deer Farmers Association. He was Chairman of the New Zealand Industry Training Organization prior to the merging with Primary ITO; Director of Crown Irrigation; Chairman of Provelco Ltd and immediate past Chairman of Irrigation NZ. Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors, Justice of the Peace and a Rotarian.
