In my work with clients, I have four priorities -- one, bringing the voice of the child into the divorce process for parents and lawyers; two, assisting separated parents to disengage cleanly from ongoing power struggles and to resolve residual emotional pain, so they can build respectful co-parenting regimes for their kids; three, helping lawyers and the Courts understand and work effectively with difficult and/or high conflict clients; and four, guiding adults through difficult life transitions, so that tough times become opportunities for transformation, re-newed meaning and growth. As a Registered Psychologist, Mediator and divorce consultant, I use my many years of diverse experience in health psychology, trauma, grief and loss, relationship counselling, gender issues, sport psychology and formal psychological evaluation, to further these priorities. Although I continue to evaluate high conflict family situations involving children, for the Courts, coaching and consulting comprise a large portion of my practice. I have particular interest in collaborative divorce coaching, child inclusive parent coaching and child specialist consultation. As well, I coach a variety of other life transitions, such as retirement, career and relationship changes, and health/lifestyle issues.As a means of practicing what I preach regarding retirement for professionals, I recently began the "Work Longer, Retire Now" phase of my career.
