I am a recently retired professional cyclist, I was a member of the Drapac Pro Cycling team and Belkin Pro Cycling team (formerly known as Rabobank and Blanco Pro Cycling Team) from 2006-2014 and my positions in the team were as leadout man, sprinter and road captain.As a road cyclist my biggest wins have been in the Tour de Langkawi (11 stage wins) and stages of the Tour of Germany, Tour of Poland and Tour Down Under. In recent years, my duty within the team has shifted from sprinter to lead out man. I have relished this opportunity and have helped my teammates to 15+ wins and podium places per year since undertaking this role.As a track cyclist, the highlight of my career was winning two gold medals at the 2004 Athens Olympics. The first as a member of the Australian team pursuit (with Bradley McGee, Brett Lancaster, and Luke Roberts) in world record breaking time of 3:56.560. The second gold medal was in the Madison event where I partnered with Stuart O'Grady. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester I won two gold medals in the team pursuit and the scratch race.I was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in the 2005 Australia Day Honours List. I am married with three sons and currently live in Perth, Australia.
