Over the 17 years I co-ordinated development of various businesses to deliver growth, improve operational standards, develop management and staff, and increase year on year profitability.I was responsible for managing and delivering catering and bars through managed sites and externally at private and public events. The companies owned, leased and managed multiple premises in the North East of Scotland. With the businesses all providing their own challenges, focus remained very heavily on the customer experience and the delivery of successful wet offerings with strong attention on the growth of dry and hot beverage categories.I was hands on in all venues for the first six years and then it became necessary to adopt a group managerial role. In doing so I was able to empower the managers and staff, helping them drive their ideas and guide them through implemented processes within the business, assisting them to develop their business into growth and increase profit. I fully believed that the key ingredient in obtaining the correct formula is to match the right individuals with the right outlet whilst creating and maintaining transparent partnerships.

Worldwide

Fugare1 delivered hospitality to corporate and private clients at Formula 1 events throughout the world with Monaco GP leading as the flagship event. This required extensive planning, relationship building and establishing trust with suppliers, coupled with immaculate execution of the service and events for clients. My role within this company was to establish and maintain relationships with the suppliers and partners, negotiate contracts and co-ordinate logistics for each event.

O'Neill'S Irish Bars - Uk

Initially started in the Dundee site as GM, I was responsible for profitability and performance. In this role I successfully doubled turnover within 12 months while exceeding net profit targets. I was promoted to National Trainer within the O'Neill's brand team and tasked to launch new outlets whilst developing the O'Neill's brand standards and training manuals.Bass Taverns went on to enrol me in the National O'Neill's Management Group where as part of a team I was responsible for locating sites, implementing the brand values and standards, and managing O'Neill's rapid expansion target of 40 new sites throughout the UK within a 12 month period. This involved extensive recruitment and training of management and staff - providing them with the knowledge of how to operate within the core values of the brand and implementation of systems within multiple sites simultaneously to ensure consistency of brand standards and P&L analysis and reporting.
