At PageFad I am involved in developing Facebook applications - maintaining 500k MAU's - applications developed in C#, Html, Javascript and CSS. During my time at PageFad I was the lead engineer for making a virtual city developed purely in javascript. The department I work for is responsible for the development of Valassis' marketing and real-time software (MarketEXPERT XR and TargetEXPERT XR). I am involved in development of software (in C#, C++, SQL and Perl) using Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, and Borland C++ Builder 5.; Most recently I have been developing with .net 3.5 using WPF for front end UI, and Oracle Packages for the integration of web technologies.Most software developed is for file manipulation so data can be loaded into databases; most recently is conversion of existing Perl scripts into C#.Upgrading Client Databases and Software to the latest version of MarketEXPERT and TargetEXPERT XR.Database Administration (Oracle 9i and 10g, and SQL Server 2000 / 2005 including building of replication between databases) and development of SQL scripts and design of tables, include database conversions from Oracle 10g to Sql Server 2000 and 2005.My position also involves a large amount of client interaction, usually to get detail specifications of software or upgrade requirements, and sometime travelling to client sites for face to face discussions. I was also involved in some network administration for the Active Directory, involving setting up of Group Policies and Server backup schedules.

Contracted by GCoders to develop application using C# and .net 2 framework and DirectX SDK to turn grayscale images into 3d wireframe models.The Application required extensive use of Visual Studio since most the controls required for the application had to be developed.

The department that I worked in was responsible for developing, writing and updating the software used by the company and clients, and for maintaining all the networks and European links. In that job I developed Websites for UBC using Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash and also Adobe Photoshop. I also worked on sites, which inform prospective customers about the Company's abilities such as where UBC ship to, storage and Container sites. I also designed and built UBC's Intranet, which has company news, current events and a searchable telephone directory of major clients and staff.My job also involved research and development of new technologies, such as SMS, GIS and OpenGL. Projects I have worked on include, integrating visual mapping components, using MapInfo MapX5, into applications, development of internet application using Indy9. I am currently working on an application to allow staff to use hand held telnet terminals to locate containers within a container park. Also I developed a 3D Container Park model in OpenGL, so that a virtual container park can be viewed on a computer, with the ability to move around the model.
