Graeme has been working within acoustics since July 2014, having graduated from university with a First Class honours degree in Music Technology. Since then he has been involved in a wide array of acoustic consultancy services including environmental noise surveys, 3D noise modelling for road schemes and 3D modelling of public address and voice alarm (PAVA) systems in railway stations.Alongside working, he is currently studying at London Southbank University for an MSc in Environmental and architectural acoustics where the focus of research will be around speech intelligibility, electroacoustics and room acoustics.These are areas where he is currently specialising in, which are aimed to assist in his regular work for Network Rail, TFL, Crossrail and HS2. The primary work in these sectors are in the PAVA design and assessment in order to meet the relevant criteria relating to STI and sound pressure level. This work involves the construction of 3D architectural models to allow for input to specialist acoustic software, Odeon and CATT Acoustic.In addition to the above he has worked on numerous projects across London and the UK ranging from MEP assessment, vibration investigations, PA noise emission, long term construction noise and vibration monitoring, sound insulation and site suitability assessments.As part of the work at WSP he has also developed a standalone application to allow for easy auralisation of binaural room impulse responses generated from acoustic modelling software, with any audio file of the users choice.
