The Public Sector Innovation Network (PSIN) is an enterprise social network where people and ideas collide. It exists to help public servants connect and collaborate to experiment and test ideas. The PSIN is part of a public service where an innovation mindset and thinking differently are core business, and collaboration and experimentation create better user solutions. Managing the PSIN team I worked across the APS to:· Nurture and increase the innovation consciousness by connecting colleagues and their ideas, primarliy through facilitating face-to-face network meetings, managing an online Yammer group, and distributing a weekly email news subscription. · Enhance innovation capacity and capability, through sharing knowledge and driving the uptake of contemporary design-thinking practices and techniques.· Enhance and leverage the opportunities for innovation collaboration, by using my extensive knowledge of the APS's high-level innovation agenda and directly connecting colleagues working on similar and/or complementary activities.· Strengthen leadership to support the growth of an innovation culture and mindset, through the establishment of an APS-wide Innovation Lab network and facilitating conversations with key academic researchers and international Government colleagues.
