As a Detective Superintendent within the Major Investigation teams, I lead high-profile and complex homicide investigations across Scotland. My role involved providing support and guidance to families and communities impacted by these tragic events. With expertise in leading investigations for child homicides, gun-related murders, cold case homicides, and cases with significant media exposure, I am well-equipped to handle the unique challenges of each case.In addition to my investigative responsibilities, I held the position of the national lead for homicide governance and HOLMES (Home Office Large Major Enquiry System), ensuring that best practices are followed and providing strategic direction. I am also PIP 4 trained, demonstrating my proficiency in police evidence and intelligence gathering and analysis.Furthermore, as the national lead for crime scene management, I was responsible for developing and implementing effective protocols and procedures to ensure meticulous handling of forensic evidence and secure the integrity of crime scenes.Combining my expertise in investigations, support for families and communities, and leadership in national homicide governance, I am committed to delivering justice and bringing closure to those affected by homicide.
