Civatech Oncology is a start-up company located in Research Triangle Park in Durham, NC. They design and manufacture devices used in brachytherapy, specifically in the prostate, lung and breast.My role(s) in the company vary somewhat due to the small, start-up setting - but have included:- Laboratory bench-work under a Senior Scientist;- Experiment development and execution, as well as report writing;- Product and Procedural development for new and existing products;- CAD modeling and prototyping;- Maintenance on critical and non-critical manufacturing equipment;- Procedure and equipment specification writing;

I worked part time with the VP of R&D doing design and general consulting while the company was building an in-house technical team.Designs I helped with were used in grants that were successfully awarded to the company, allowing them the resources for additional personnel, and prototyping.
