Experienced FX TD and artist. FX being the primary focus I also have Character FX experience. Using Houdini as the primary tool and Nuke for compositing, with additional compositing experience in both Fusion and Autodesk Smoke. Primarily experienced rendering with Mantra, but comfortable in both Arnold and Renderman also. While my main passion is creating the best possible shots, using procedural setups, simulation, lighting, procedural shading, rendering and compositing. I also have experience building tools for both, my setups and to assist the broader team's needs. Very comfortable scripting with VEX and Python within Houdini, also a small amount of experience with Qt for python.Previous to working in VFX for film I had considerable 2d experience in motion graphics, colour grading, compositing and online editing. For television and advertising industries.Out of work hours I really enjoy tinkering with modelling, sculpting and realtime using Blender and Unreal.
