I invested $40,000 of my own money in buying marimbas, xylophones and vibraphones as well as initiating a movement away from Orff- Schulwerk methodology. I have no formal qualifications in music but am inspired through a tactile and aural approach as well as teaching basic reading to children. Everything a teacher is required to do, plus extend kids' ability to adapt skills taught to realize higher standards. I managed to teach eight year ol children geometry, including use of compasses, protractor, and hone their abilities to measure angles, design "nets" of three dimensional shapes such as pyramids, cubes, prisms et al.I also taught said children the ability to read and spell independently by the end of grade two. I taught dance, advanced techniques in art and excellent choirs which won eisteddfods.
