Over 20 years in the subtropical fruit industry has allowed me to gain an in depth knowledge and understanding for such specific crop types, with a particular focus on avocado management from field to fork. In order to facilitate effective value added processes of avocado ripening and marketing, specialized management must take place in the field, in the processing, and in the logistics chain, to ensure consistent quality product can be delivered for end consumption. Sourcing from a global network of suppliers, it is essential that farms and supply partners, across our various global production origins, are visited in person, to foster relationships and to gain a true and in-depth understanding of where our fruit is produced, handled and shipped from. With an absolute belief in preserving our planet for the perpetuation of our flora, fauna, and for our own children and future generations to come, it is a primary goal that this global sourcing is undertaken in a manner that fully encompasses Social Responsibility and Environmental Conservation throughout the vertically integrated supply chain. My passion for global travel, and for meeting people of different cultures, creates a close alignment between my personal interests and my career.
