I have over 30 years experience within the architectural profession, predominantly in private practice but with one year’s local government experience. Initially I worked as an architectural technician and then qualified as a Chartered Architect in 1997.I am registered with the RIBA and ARB and our practice, Graham Binnington Architects Limited, is an RIBA Chartered Practice.At present our practice works predominantly in the residential sector for private clients and developers, although we also undertake some commercial work. Typically our work covers projects with a contract value ranging from £50,000 to £1,000,000 however we are also currently involved with a project at Pickering Showground that has an approximate contract value of £25 million. We offer a full architectural service, undertaking feasibility studies, surveying, sketch designs, Planning drawings/applications, working drawings, schedules and specifications for Building Regulations applications and construction, tendering, project management and administering building contracts.We work closely with other professionals and are able to pull together a full design and construction team.Our work is predominantly in the East Yorkshire area although we do undertake work further afield.Prior to Graham Binnington Architects Limited, I have worked at an architectural practice in Cottingham, two practices in Hull, one being a multi disciplinary practice, in partnership with a Landscape Architect in Beverley and with a couple of property development companies in Driffield and Melton. During this time I covered a broad range of projects, including work within the residential, retail, leisure, industrial and health care sectors. I worked both individually and as part of a team on projects up to a contract value of approximately £10,000,000 throughout the UK.
