I developed a strategy to establish a new polyhalite mining operation, a vision that became reality in 2009 when we extracted the first minerals.In 2011, I was approached by Sirius Mineral’s CEO to join a team and create a second polyhalite mining operation in the North York Moors National Park. This started an eight-year consultation, exploration, engineering design, investment funding and planning programme that culminated in on-site construction starting in 2017.Both projects have served to secure thousands of jobs in the region, a legacy that I am most proud of.I possess a proven track record of transforming underperforming operations, reducing costs and integrating large-scale operational teams.
