As President/CEO of the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company and Cheremosh School of Ukrainian Dance, it was my responsibility to ensure that the organization's business operations are running smoothly while looking forward to future development. Strategic planning, goal setting and implementation, public/media relations were key components to this role.The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Company is one of North America's premier Ukrainian Dance Companies and the Cheremosh School of Dance is regarded as having an elite level of instruction designed to develop the future leaders of this unique form of performing arts. As such, leading a team of talented and committed individuals working towards common goals and harnessing their talent and ambitions is essential to maintaining and improving upon the quality of the Cheremosh product and its public image.Along with my responsibilities as President of Cheremosh, this position had a responsibility to promote the greater Ukrainian dance community and the arts in general. During this time, I sat on the board of directors for the Alberta Ukrainian Dance Association and was a member of the Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton's (PACE) advocacy committee.

WILDNorth Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation operates Northern Alberta’s only full scope wildlife rehabilitative care facility as well as western Canada’s only full scope professional wildlife rescue program. Since March of 2016, as Executive Director, I was responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the organization’s strategic plan in accordance with better fulfilling its mission and progressing towards its vision. I oversaw the management team of 11 core, permanent employees (with part-time/seasonal/casual employees adding up to approximately 30), with two directors and the financial administrator reporting directly to me. Reporting to the society’s board of directors, I oversaw day to day business operations and was the primary ambassador to funders, government, media, and all relevant stakeholders. I worked closely with the Director of Business Development on funding, marketing, and media strategies to ensure the long term sustainability and exposure of the organization. Developing new revenue streams as well as maximizing returns on existing streams was a primary focus of position as E.D. Working with the Director of Wildlife Services, we regularly engaged with regulatory bodies, particularly those who provided our necessary permits (i.e. Alberta Environment and Parks and the Canadian Wildlife Service) to influence policy and broaden the scope of our permits.

As program manager, I was the primary ambassador to government, business and community organizations. Establishing and maintaining relationships iwas crucial to this role to ensure that our clients receive the best service possible; with stronger relationships with other organizations (government offices and other agencies/community resources, we can ensure more accurate incoming and outgoing referrals which means clients needs and goals are being appropriately addressed. Strong relationships also ensure greater cooperation between organizations to work together to meet the needs of clients as well as the goals of the overall human services sector.I was also responsible for managing all office staff, monitoring and managing the budget as provided by the government of Alberta, responding to eligibility decision appeals, directing the collection and reporting of relevant data.I was also the company's representative on the Professional Career Development Contractors Assocation's (PCDC) Edmonton council and a committee member of the Learner Support Services Committee.

My current position is at the Edmonton Assessment Centre (A Prospect Project). This office is funded by the Government of Alberta for the purpose of improving the level of employment of Albertans who are eligible for grant funding to attend occupational training. My role is to perform individual assessments to determine eligibility based on a financial need, need for training, and to determine if the individual is Ready, Willing, and Able (RWA). I also perform case management for learners attending training in my designated training institutions.
