Y2K ConversionA huge undertaking for all banks, my primary job was to assist in recoding multiple applications and reports to accommodate the new 4 digit year.Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) VB WinForm Application used by the Banking’s Customer Telephone Staff, this VB6 application supplied customer account information directly from the Hogan Mainframe. • Member of development team that created the application• Provided ongoing support, fixes and enhancements to the system• Added integrated MS Office forms for automatic prefill and creation of legal documents such as new accounts, money transfers, credit card application, and loan applications• Added functionality to perform direct transfers via Western Union• Reduced loading of account information from 48 seconds down to 6 seconds by taking repeated database calls and storing them in memory.Automated Car Loan Application System One of the largest money makers for the bank, car loans were received from the dealer in a bidding process. Statistically, the best bid out of the first 3 received got the loan.• Developed VB 6 WinForm Application to interface with the mainframe and prefill the customer’s info if found. Otherwise, data had to be manually entered. • Automatically retrieve credit score on customer• Automatically approve or deny a load based upon the banks criteria• Automatically return the results to the requesting dealershipsLoan Exception Reporting Partly for auditing purposes, the bank is required to maintain records of liens and exceptions on the loans that it has. Based in France, Carbone of America is in the powdered metal industry making carbon brushes for electrical motors that are used in application such as starters, windshield wipers and electric windows. Producing these brushes incorporated a multitude of processes that included blending, welding, tamping, grinding, baking, and pilling.Position: Quality Engineer / Assistant Lab Manager• Tracking and Management of incoming materials and Suppliers• Management of all quality documents and QOS Manuals• Training of auditors in quality control techniques such as SPC, Pareto chartings and histograms• Preparation and approval for new part submissions to Ford, General Motors and Chrysler which included testing, spec requirements, management approvals.• Manage the Chemical Test Lab when the Lab Manager was not able to be on site.• Created MS Access application to aid our maintenance department in meeting ISO requirements for Preventive, Predictive, and Unscheduled maintenance.Position: Lab Chemist • Perform testing as required for quality assurance and new product development.
