In my previous life I was the Sales Director for Royal Mail Group, responsible for a sales team of 380 people and a revenue target of £4bn. During my 39 year career I worked in a variety of roles from Counter Sales to Sales Director of Royal Mail Group, I am widely recognised as an expert in the parcels, logistics and mail distribution marketplace. A visionary and passionate leader of change, I was been responsible for driving Royal Mail’s sales performance through people. This is evidenced by the levels of employee satisfaction amongst our sales force which is the highest in the profession. Championing a clear ‘Voice of the Customer’ plan, driving the customers’ perspectives back into the business. My experience of managing sales forces led me to undertake various consultancy projects with leading organisations. One area of specialism being helping big businesses understand the potential of small businesses, and vice versa.
