Currently I work with the Canadian Health Leadership Network (CHLNet) promoting a national action plan for leadership talent management in the Canadian health system. I also work with the Canadian Society of Physician Executives as a senior research advisor; and in that role, also provide research advice and program guidance to the World Federation of Medical Managers. I am also in the process of working with other organizations--notably Accreditation Canada International--through Health LEADS International, a not-for-profit company, dedicated to developing health leadership using concepts and ideals implicit in the LEADS framework in health systems other than in Canada. In that context I work with the Health and Education and Training Institute in New South Wales, and the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators to enhance leadership development for their clients. Recently I published-in collaboration with my colleague, Bill Tholl, CEO of HealthcareCAN, a book outlining the LEADS framework, used across Canada (http://www.springer.com/medicine/book/978-1-4471-4874-6 ).I retain my title as Professor Emeritus at Royal Roads University, where leadership programming is a key element of the university's success.
