I am an experienced Director of Treasury Operations with nearly 30 years in the industry, at a top 6 UK based financial services organisation. For the last 5 years I've been working on banking and financial institution start-ups, setting up Treasury Operations and Payments departments and systems to ensure a smooth and efficient go-live.I have been a Senior Management Team member and representative on industry bodies. I am a reliable manager of change and innovation, with the ability to apply knowledge in a variety of environments, notably in switch from financial services to CCP operations.I have managed teams of varying sizes both as a full time line manager and in project based environment. I have also been lead user in a variety of high profile projects, including system selection and implementations. You can read my views on managing banking relationships in December's issue of the Treasurer magazine. My analysis of the effect of the EMIR collateral regulations for corporate treasurers "Collateral Damage" is available on the ACT's website at: http://www.treasurers.org/node/9414. Further articles on a variety of topics will appear during 2014.

Chief Writer And DesignerWargaming For Grown Ups Publications Oct 2019 - PresentNorthamptonshireCurrently embarking on working up for publication all of the table top wargaming sets I've written over the last 20 years. So far I've published sets relating to early Sumerian Warfare ("To Ur is Human"), and the War of the Pacific 1879-1884 ("It's Getting a Bit Chile"). Next set will cover the mid-years of 19th Century China ("Taiping Era"). My aim is to produce clear, original, period specific rules, rather than generic sets with bolt-ons, to a high standard at an affordable price. Oh, and to use as many bad puns as I can.The rules sets are self published and released through Amazon as hard copy and Wargame Vault as pdfs. As I have full control over the final product the final version is exactly as the designer intended.Don't knock it. Have you seen Games Workshop's FTSE 250 performance over the last 10 years? 2nd best performer!

Interim Treasury Operations ManagerRoyal Bank Of Scotland Dec 2014 - Oct 2016London, United KingdomI provided Treasury Operations expertise as well as leadership in setting up the Treasury Operations department which was to be based in Manchester for the ill fated William & Glyn's Bank project. The role included staff recruitment, agent bank selection, process design and pretty much anything else needed to set up a Treasury Department. It was an exciting and challenging project that was very rewarding for all of those involved. As W&G was to be a full function national bank it was an opportunity to get involved in everything you need to do to set up a bank, from designing the Operating model to the impact of regulation. Along with many others on the project its end was met with a deep regret that we were never able to go live. Certainly in respect of the Treasury project we were on course and ready to go live when required. -
