Driven by a commitment to global resilience and sustainable development, my career has focused on addressing climate change and disaster risk reduction at the intersection of public service and international security. With a Master’s degree in International Security from the Korbel School at the University of Denver, I’ve had the privilege of working across sectors—from my time as an Graduate Student Intern at the U.S. Mission in Geneva to my current role as a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation Specialist with the U.S. Peace Corps in The Gambia. In these roles, I’ve developed and honed expertise in capacity building, contingency planning, and cross-cultural communication, all while fostering environments of collaboration and trust. At Ashoka, I led an office committed to empowering team members by identifying their strengths and encouraging their growth as leaders and changemakers. I’m passionate about building relationships based on respect and transparency, helping others become full contributors to a shared vision of climate resilience. My earlier work at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures allowed me to contribute to scenario analysis and data-driven reports for the UNDP, and my certification in UX design adds a unique layer of understanding human-centered systems to my approach to global challenges. As I continue my journey, I’m eager to connect with other climate change experts and resilience specialists to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and collectively contribute to a world equipped to adapt to the evolving climate crisis.
