My first boss told me in everything you do in life and work, "try to make a difference". I will never forgot his passionate words of advice and encouragement to never be frightened of taking on a challenge or working outside my comfort zone. Since then I have had numerous roles, climbed a few 'virtual' mountains and worked with some fantastic people. The lessons I have learned along the way, and there have been many, have shaped me.
