Responsible for a fleet of 19 harbour towage tugs across the Humber, South Wales, Belfast & Portsmouth. Allocate work in accordance with the Humber Passage Plan and other Port directives. Monitor weather patterns and forthcoming shipping data. Work to strict deadlines. Ensure correct crewing of vessels. Maintain good relationships with customers and contract holders as well as working closely with Port Authority.

Immingham

Responsible for all aspects of harbour towage. Management of up to 96 certificated crew. Allocation of work while also dealing with commercial contracts and quotations for business. Highly proficient with VHF radios and also the monitoring of all working channels involved in the operation. Monitoring weather patterns on a daily basis. Direct contact and negotiating with both local customers and international charterers. Excellent knowledge of the River Humber and local offshore areas. Required to have a good knowledge of local Port Regulations and Notices and the use of PAVIS on a daily basis. Knowledge of Port Emergency plans. Responsible for crewing of vessels with the correct certification and the monitoring of hours of work. Responsible for the collation of month end data and management reports. Input of weekly crew payroll including bonuses and other associated payments. Meticulous checking and attention to detail while working to strict deadlines. Responsible for ordering and distribution of correct crew PPE.I have also covered in other ports notably Liverpool.

Grimsby

Supervised the import of Aluminium through Grimsby Docks from Norway and re-distribution to factories around the country based within T.H Brown transport company. Responsible for transport and stock controls while liaising with customers.

Grimsby & Immingham
