I was previously a Detective Inspector with the MPS for 34 years working in west London. Working within the Criminal Investigation Department on murders, serial rapes and critical incidents firstly as a Detective Constable for over a decade. Secondly as a Detective Sergeant initiating one of the first Domestic Violence Units in the MPS evolving into a CSU. Investigating Domestic AbuseAs a Detective Inspector for the last decade have been specialising in Domestic Abuse and primarily Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults: having set up the only Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Unit in the MPS investigating offences against the most vulnerable. In both a Care Home setting and service users receiving domiciliaery care .A unique and challenging fora of investigation.I have chaired MAPPA , MARAC , MASE and project led the initiation of a MASH. I am representative at CDOP SCB and SAB.I have been training C.K.P. students and promoting Safeguarding Adults, Domestic Abuse ,Court presentation skills and Risk assessments and report writing.I have completed my career with the Metropolitan Police on 2nd May 2016.Having completed thirty four years I am redirecting my focus into running a new venture, Safeguarding Training and Consultancy .S.T.C. Investigations is a Safeguarding company passionate about promoting Safeguarding Adults.Providing training and advice in Safeguarding,F.G.M.,Risk Management ,& bespoke advice to professionals and care homes within the Safeguarding fora.We are currently providing Level 2 Safeguaring Adult Awareness statutory training for local authority staff on site and offsite within the Safeguarding voluntary sector within the Borough."Doing nothing is not an option" is our safeguarding mantra.
