I started as a trainee at Norton Rose Botterell & Roche form 1979, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1981. I moved to Richards Butler (now part of Reed Smith) in 1983, becoming a partner in 1988. I worked at Richards Butler for 17 years, until 2001, when I joined Thomas Cooper, where I stayed for 10 years. joined my current firm in 2011.I have worked in the field of maritime and insurance law and commercial arbitration for most of my career, although I have gained over the years wide experience of other areas of commercial law and court litigation in England, as well as having directed or otherwise been involved in maritime and commercial cases in many jurisdictions around the world.
