HETCo T2A Heathrow – Senior Commercial ManagerCurrently taking a senior role within the fit out team delivering the final stages of the T2A Project circa 200million, utilising both NEC 3 Lump sum and Target Cost contractsA collaborative working relationship with HAL and ECH has been at the absolute core of delivering a substantial amount of change within a challenging Programme and the Target Cost.Working with the Procurement and Design Team completing a detailed analysis of the fit-out packages to ensure scope gaps in design are eradicated prior to going to marketA member of the senior commercial team in the production of an elemental cost plan which on such a large project required the coordinating and implementation of vast amounts of drawings, specifications and scope documentsAlongside the T2A elemental cost plan headed and coordinated the production of a detailed and robust SMM7 Bill of Quantities for the new terminal, the Bill was produced using overseas professionals which added its own challenges to an already complicated process.Worked through a detailed value engineering exercise in order to bring the initial budget to an acceptable level whilst maintaining the integrity of the scheme design.

Mace Ltd –Senior Cost Manager Heathrow T5 and TransitionManaged the latter stages of the Heathrow T5 Close out Programme within a team of four cost managers total project value £150million.Managed the transition of the outstanding works from T5 Build to T5 Transition using NEC 3 Cost reimbursable form of contract.Managed the new transition works in conjunction with the production and financial teams managing the requirements of the new stakeholders.Working closely with the BAA cost and Production team to produce a forecast model and programme for the new works.Production of detailed budgetary advice to the BAA cost and production teams in close

Mitie McCartney LTD –Senior Cost Manager Heathrow T5 Key ResponsibilitiesAssuming complete financial control of eight projects involving six first tier suppliers totalling £17million campus wide, all utilising NEC3 Options A,B and C .Responsible for a team of cost managers and quality managers.Providing cost advice, design solutions, and detailed programmes for six first tier contractors. Working closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director to expand the client base and Portfolio at T5 from £1.5 million to £17 million.Establishing and maintaining a financial and contractual set of procedures to satisfy the stringent requirements of T5. Agreement of contract conditions for each first tier supplierEstablishing KPI’S and AFC’S for each project.Production of quarterly and monthly CVC’S to the Managing and Commercial Directors.Responsible for overseeing and ultimately producing accounts subject to audit by BAA cost verification teams.Working with Mace Solutions, Balfour Beatty Tunnel projects, Balfour Beatty Rail Projects, CHT, Mansells, Laing’s, Seele.

Working with new and existing clients, both Architects and PQS practice both pre and post contract to produce detailed designed and priced solutions that satisfy both the financial and specified parameters.Production of detailed cost plans .Fulfilling the role of a traditional estimator in a competitive market, producing detailed estimates and detailed cost plans.Complete responsibility for projects that required simultaneous co-ordination of detailed designs, materials and finances from international locations. Working with the Managing Director producing detailed monthly and quarterly reports, forecasting and managing workload.In conjunction with the Managing Director I ultimately built a dynamic team that produced a successful and valuable addition to the company.

HBG Construction – Senior Project Surveyor - Royal Navy Docks, Portsmouth, Osborne House, Isle of Wight and Windsor Castle Visitors CentreKey ResponsibilitiesRefurbishment of the Portsmouth Naval Base buildings to produce an interactive Museum and the refurbishment of the Facades to Osborne House on the Isle of Wight and Windsor Castle Visitors centre total value £12 million.Fulfilling the role of Senior Project Surveyor managing a team of three surveyors, reporting directly to the southern area director. Projects let under JCT 80 with Design portion supplements and GC Works 1

HBG Construction – Project Surveyor – Lowndes Square, Knightsbridge Key ResponsibilitiesConversion and refurbishment of three private residences in Knightsbridge to form a single home for a Private ClientFulfilling the role of Project Surveyor with two assistant surveyors reporting to the Commercial Director. Detailed cost plans required to maintain budgets, contractors proposals required for the expenditure of defined and undefined provisional sums.Detailed submissions and notices required to manage constant change.Provision of performance and design supplement bonds.Constant involvement with party wall surveyors and English Heritage.

Higgs and Hill - Senior Quantity Surveyor – Gloucester Square, KnightsbridgeKey ResponsibilitiesSpeculative conversion of three Grade 2 listed Edwardian houses in to eighteen high quality units.Exceptionally challenging as working with a private client on their first development in the UK Responsible for securing bank guarantees and performance bonds prior to commencement.Positive and direct approach required to manage the client’s team.Detailed cost plans and cost management required to ensure the project remained viable at all stages throughout the construction phase. Higgs and Hill - Quantity Surveyor – Varied Projects, LondonPrimarily working within London fulfilling the position of Quantity Surveyor working with a team of surveyors working on varied many projects, the upgrading of the office accommodation and refurbishment common areas within the corporation of London Buildings in Moorgate, London underground and Railtrack at Baker Street, the upgrading of the research laboratories the imperial college of London, Fire damage at Windsor Castle being some of the projects I was involved during this period. Values varied between 250k to £3 Million on bespoke, local authority, IFC 84 and JCT forms of contract.
