This is a key position that challenges and interacts with all areas of the business and supports the UK Readymix board in understanding and explaining financial performance through detailed analysis of the results.Within this role I am responsible for:• Finance Business Partner support for Southern & London region; Forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.• Finance Business Partner support for Dry Silo Mortar and Admixtures Businesses; Forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and business plans.• Explanation / interpretation of Readymix P&L (within Operational Remit) for; Raw Materials, Haulage and Utilities.• Capital Investment; Business point of contact for appraisals & recommendations• Major Projects; Business Partner support for all major Readmix projects in the UK, coordinating with National Commercial, Operations and Technical teams to ensure realistic and acceptable Return on Investment for the business.• New Business Opportunities; Produce all investment appraisals for new business opportunities, asset swaps and acquisitions• Informally look after a small team of analysts, including managing development, recruitment and workload. • Development of new and existing KPI tools to improve visibility and drive business performance • Analyse key metrics and challenge the management team on variances, underperformance or identify potential opportunities to ensure plans are in place to improve overall performance.• Readymix SAP/Business Warehouse Superuser.

• To continuously monitor, evaluate and report on regional progress towards forecasted performance and goals to ensure performance levels are attained.• To provide recommendations to improve the cost-effectiveness of the region’s operations (best sourcing in terms of cost, quality, and efficiency) to achieve quality and service fulfilment at minimum cost and to maximise profitability.• To produce reports on the region’s performance as required.• To monitor the achievement of regional and business objectives and relevant KPIs.• To provide ad-hoc support to the business with data as required.• To support the budget process.

• To promote and develop profitable market sectors. • To investigate and introduce initiatives to increase the number of new customers trading with CEMEX, which includes the co-ordination of telesales as well as the retention of existing customers. • To obtain, manage and distribute leads from a number of sources to the sales force.• To produce & develop KPI reports for the management team.• Working with external agencies to co-ordinate, produce and supply marketing literature to our sales team.• To co-ordinate PR and advertising, where required.• Development of internal communications through developing and co-ordinating company infonet site and the production of a quarterly internal newsletter. • To record and monitor customer complaints and satisfaction to aid customer retention.
