In addition, I actively carry out training and safety risk management assurance inspections/Audits. Moreover, I actively introduced blended learning methodologies into all segments of the training syllabus, with the aim of enhancing efficiency and minimising wastage. This position also involved the direct management of students participating in these courses, which included responsibilities such as task assignments, welfare and disciplinary oversight. My primary objective was to ensure these students received the essential guidance and support necessary to excel in their respective career courses while upholding the highest levels of discipline throughout their training. A vital part of the training was to ensure that the students left the course with the full knowledge and understanding of safety risk management, including writing risk assessments, teaching and delivering weapon handling lessons (train the trainer), running military ranges safely which and producing the correct documentation and written instruction as per the current directed policies and UK law. After passing out of training, I joined the Grenadier Guards incremental company , Nijmegen Company, where I was part of various state ceremonial duties which included being part of the guard of honour for Queen mother’s funeral and the state opening of parliament as well as several Queens Birthday parades. During my time within the Grenadiers Guards I went on various overseas exercises such as Kenya, Jamaica and Germany. I also took part in overseas Operations deployments in Kosovo, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. I completed several courses which included the Snipers course, Section Commanders Battle Course and the Platoon Sargeant’s Battle Course. I was selected for a posting as a section commander at the Infantry Training Center in Catterick where I spent two years training infantry recruits. My final posting before I transferred to the Small Arms School Corp was acting as HRH Prince Phillips personal assistant within Buckingham Palace. I worked closely with him dealing with a whole manner of things such as his banking, driving duties and personal mail. Show less
