Responsible for strategic restructuring of Marten Yachts. Initiated sales projects from zero base mid-2003 to achieve $18 million in sales contracts over a 12 month period.

During the 1990’s and subsequently at Bell Gully was involved in directing the trade law activity toward offshore clients as a consequence of the domestic wind down of this activity in New Zealand and Australia.As a consequence, in later years the majority of activity was offshore, in most cases with no involvement in New Zealand trade issues. For example, In 1998 the Bridgestone Tyre Corporation and Mitsui Trading Corporation of Japan was represented in a dispute in Egypt.  In 2000 the Thai Pineapple industry was represented in a dispute in Australia; and  In 2001 the Chinese Steel Industry was represented in the US section 201 global steel case in a joint venture with Kirkland & Ellis of Washington and King & Wood of Beijing.  Another more complex case was the representation of Goedecke, a German pharmaceutical manufacturer, a subsidiary of Warner Lambert Park Davis USA, which involved negotiations in New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Germany, Ireland and the European Community.
